Dad gets his hour back, the east coast gets depressed

So myself and other mets fans are still at a loss as to picking a team to root for in the series. I've been rooting for specific pitchers, like Jess mentioned. Game 1 was Cliff Lee. Same goes for tonight. Game 2 I was rooting for Pedro, as a former Mets pitcher and accomplished Yankee-killer. But that was not to be. Games 3 and 4 I was completely at a loss and tried to just enjoy watching the sluggers on both teams performing relatively badly (A-Roid/Texeira and Howard/Werth). But A-Rod kind of put a stop to that fun, as well.

In the end, I'm having a hard time and can only take solace in the fact that the Mets start playing in 150 days give or take. I assume that Indians fans feel about the same. And if you're like Jess, you just want the season to be over.

To Mom - aigre doux, as I understand it, means "sour sweet" in French. On the sandwich I had it seemed to be a sort of sauce or jelly of sweetly pickled something or other. Regardless, it was good.

One last thing... I would like to reintroduce my proposition to fix daylight savings (read "wasting") time. I suppose it's not as bad on the western end of the time zone, but I can't think of any reason why in 2009 it would be beneficial to anyone to reset our clocks so that it gets dark at 5:00 PM. And that's today. In a couple months it's even worse.

I'm thinking of just instituting my 1/2 hour permanent change myself and being either early or late all year long and making everyone else just deal with it.
